The latest winner of the draw to win a year’s supply of Elagen or Elagen Sport is Simon Kearns of Buckinghamshire. Congratulations!! The timing was perfect for Simon who is off to Ironman France. Hope his luck holds.
As subscribers to our e:newsletter your names are automatically entered into the draw every month so there are lots of chances to win. More competitions are planned for the near future. We will keep you posted.
RESEARCH Update
Italian researchers have concluded that Eleutherococcus Senticosus can safely improve some aspects of mental health and social functioning in the elderly.
The team of scientists based in Bologna were prompted to carry out the study after observing that an unspecific feeling of fatigue and asthenia pushes elderly people to look for solutions.
They said: "Traditional Chinese medicine suggests that ES could act as a safe 'Adaptogenic' substance and the study's aim was to assess the effect of ES on elderly health related quality of life."
20 elderly hypertensive and digitalised volunteers took part in the randomised placebo controlled study which was carried out over an 8 week period. The study was said to be based on dosage of 300mg a day.

"I have had cfs/me for 16 years. Elagen helps me have the quality of life and energy that I need. Sometimes I try to stop it but my energy disappears so I couldn't get by without it."

Meet our newest member of staff
Should you decide to brave the telephone rather than our online shop when you place an order, chances are you will speak to our newest recruit Alison Williams. Alison joined the company last month and has already been actively promoting Elagen around not just the UK but in Australia too.
The triathletes amongst you may get a chance to meet Alison and one of her colleagues Maria Butler during the Summer. Read on for details….
Upcoming Events
At Elagen Sport we heartily believe in encouraging our athletes and we know that lots of you will be taking part in some of the major UK Triathlon events this summer.
Look out for us cheering from the sidelines at the following events:

Bournemouth Triathlon
5th and 6th July 2008
To continue a long standing tradition of supporting this event, we will be back with Roger and our friends at Concept Sport doing our bit to look after the athletes.
Concept Sport events manager Roger Wakeling, an ongoing supporter of Elagen Sport said: “When my son Spencer took up triathlons he supplemented his diet immediately with Elagen Sport – he is convinced it improves his performance. We fully support the excellent products they provide and can’t thank them enough for all the assistance and support they have given us over the years.”
If you don’t see us at the finish line, come and visit us at our stand and we will be happy to answer any questions about Elagen Sport and how it could support and maintain your immune system to its optimum level.
The Big Woody
Forest of Dean 16th and 17th of August
This year has seen Elagen Sport welcome a new Ambassador in Australia where professional triathletes James Parker is now flying the flag. James is coming home to Blighty to take part in the Big Woody Triathlon and we will be there to support him. This is our first time as a company at this event, so if you see us wandering about, please come and point us in the right direction.
Best wishes -- Marina Elwin and all the Eladon team!!
