Meet Your Australian Rep - James Parker

It’s amazing what a difference a little sticker can make especially when it’s located in your passport! I have been in Australia since July and have not been able to work since arriving due to visa restrictions. A couple of weeks ago my temporary residency was granted and I promptly accepted Elagen’s offer of work as an Ambassador for their products over here in Australia. Over the coming months I’ll take some time to introduce you to various users of Elagen Sport and the multitude of other products that are on offer. BIG plans are afoot for this coming year and I’m very excited about what we at Elagen have to offer Australia. I guess for now I’ll take some time and introduce myself a little.

I have been a full time Ironman Triathlete for the past few years with the goal being to compete as a professional at the World Championships on Kona. This goal is still very much alive and my next shot at qualifying will come in July at Ironman Switzerland. Before I undertake that though I have the small matter of my wedding and honeymoon at the end of March. How did I end up in this position?? Well I guess everything changed when I took my first proper job, that lasted all of a year. The work had me driving around the UK working 60hr weeks and no time left for Triathlon which had been a hobby for me since leaving school. I decided that I missed the “me” time and packed my bags and headed to Australia for a 6 month sabbatical. Well I’m still on that sabbatical having won a few races upon my return to the UK and deciding to continue living my dream of being a professional athlete. So now I reside on the Gold Coast and it appears will be here for a few more years and have just dipped my toe in to the working world again. My dreams are still very much alive though and am looking forward to sharing the journey, my own personal road to Kona, with you.

I actually ended up working for Elagen as they have been a long term sponsor of mine and I have come to rely on them to get me to my races illness free. Elagens products have been available here for a number of years and with the advancement in technology ordering and shipping the products to you, the customer has never been so easy and efficient. The easiest way for you the consumer now to order is via the online shop, if that doesn’t work for you then all you need to do is call the office and talk to them directly. Once the products reach our shores customs may take a look or just x-ray them and then Australia Post takes over and the next thing you know they’re on your doorstep. Generally the whole process from ordering online, or over the phone if you prefer, to delivery will take on average 1 week.
