Alex Rieken

Alex resides in Queensland Australia an competes in Ironman and Long Course Triathlon. He has completed four Ironman distances races and has been involved in Ultra distance triathlon for just on two years coming from a short course background. He has a Personal Best Ironman time of 9:46:16.
Alex has recently been selected as a member of the Australian Triathlon Team to compete at the ITU World Long Course Triathlon Championship in Almere, The Netherlands in August 2008.

As an amateur athlete, Alex works full time as an Air Traffic Controller and as a result of the taxing shift rotations required as a part of that Profession, recovery and fuelling are essential parts of his ability to train and compete at the level required for International competition.
